Hi everyone. I was just looking around for old game advertisements and flyers, and came across something of interest - a Croc 2 ad from North America*, carrying imagery I had never seen until today. You can find it in the "C" section on this page. It's rather nice. ;D *How do I know this? The ad carries the Gummi Savers logo - Gummi Savers are generally only available in North America, and the Gummi Savers sponsorship of the game was removed from the releases of Croc 2 around the rest of the world (in these versions, the bouncy Gummi Savers were replaced with jellies similar in appearance to those in Croc: Legend of the Gobbos, but in colours matching the sweets in the North American release).

Why is a parkway called a parkway if you actually don't run around in grass and swing on swings?

Whoa. That is COOL! ;D Er, two things I noticed. Baron Dante does not have an eyepatch like in the game, and a dantini next to him was not in Croc 2, only Croc 1. But still, you gotta love the artwork! I wonder if there's any more ads like that floating around somewhere... Speaking of which, I'd like to see some of the Japanese ads and artwork for Croc. I've only seen the cover to Croc! Pau Pau Island and the little initiating box. Nothing else. Or is that all the Japanese artwork there is?

Seems like they did quite a lot of advertising for Croc 2.

I never noticed the recycled Dantini. To my knowledge, that's all there is, I'm afraid. Seems like they did quite a lot of advertising for Croc 2. Indeed they did - it was heavily promoted in at least the UK (how well I remember the Cadbury's Orange Mini Rolls promotion and USA , although it seems it wasn't promoted so much in Japan (where it was released as "Croc Adventure").

That's the North American back-of-box layout (note ESRB rating at the bottom), it's mostly the same as the one used in PAL regions except that the text is a bit different if my memory serves me correctly.

I haven't seen that version. (Back in the day I owned all three of the original releases of the game, so I never had a need to pick up the later re-releases. )

Dude, that new Croc 2 artwork is so cute! And yeah, Baron Dante is lacking an eye patch for all the Croc 2 artwork. I think they finished the artwork before the game, because some of it shows the cowboy gobbos and the monkeys. To my knowledge, that's all there is, I'm afraid. Er, remember that artwork I sent you a while ago? I took it straight from the Croc 1 PC CD.

I know - I was responding more to the part about advertisements and the like. Tyguy mentioned having seen the initiating box, so I guessed that he's already seen the artwork in the Croc for Windows 95 installer, too (although, of course, I could be wrong, so feel free to correct me if I am ).

Disappeared? I can see it fine, both literally and when I click on it.

I already knew about that picture. But the game seems to be never released by Morpheme...
