Yesterday it arrived to my mailbox Croc 2 for PlayStation 1, I wanted not only to add it to my collection as I never tried out the PS1 version of Croc 2. However not everything are roses, because I got constrained by a very strange sound glitch.
It happened when I was in the Sailor Village hub, the sound effects were all playing wrong and randomly like: Gobbos talking like laughing Dantinis, Croc's tail whip sounding like opening doors, Crocs steps sounding like jingles, etc. It passes when I go to a normal level or I visit Pete's General Store. When I return it plays ok in the hub, but after a later visit it happens again. Sadly this sound glitch also happened in Soveena's battle and Keith's battle.
I am almost sure it is related to my PlayStation 2 console: according to its manual, some PlayStation 1 games might experience incompactibilities but one thing is for sure: I rarely use my 2 year-old PlayStation 2 and my Croc 2 disc for PlayStation 1 is in excelent state: no scratches or dust in it.
Have you guys experienced the same problem as me?

I never owned a PS2, but I can tell you that it certainly doesn't do that on an original PlayStation, or in (most?) emulators, either.
If you have ePSXe on your computer, it does run properly in that, if that's of any help. The same goes for PCSX Reloaded.

I know I can play the game in the emulator, but nothing more pleasant than playing the original disc in a real console, as I usually say. I find obvious that this wouldn't happen in a real PlayStation, but still it is quite sad to know there are compactibility problems with the PlayStation 2 consoles. *Gives even more valour to her Croc 2 for PC*
