Okay, I'll be doing them in shorter chapters than I usually do... I tend to write 2000-4000 words for other projects but I'll split this one up quite a bit.

Chapter 1 - Egg thief
Croc hugged his parents again, his younger brother toddled up and inserted himself into the middle of the hug during a moment of his calmness before he toddled after a Gobbo king in excitement.
"Croc so glad he finally find you!" Croc said happily when the three released each other.
His parents beamed at their eldest son, "You've no idea how hard we searched for you son," his father replied.
His mother was still just too overjoyed to speak, she admired Croc and thanked the heavens that he had grown up all right.
At this moment, the Inca King wobbled up and cleared his throat.
"Ah-hem!"
The three reptiles looked down at the little fuzzy king, neglecting to see the youngest reptile as he scampered around the deck of the ship anchored nearby.
"Yes?" Croc's mother queried, still overwhelmed at her son's sudden and miraculous return.
"May we stay the night Mrs Croc?" The Inca asked in his most polite tone possible.
Of course, the parents couldn't deny the creatures that had cared for their son for so long and taught him to be good no matter what. They nodded enthusiastically and only then realized that the little crocodile was scaling the ship's mast.
"Duke!" They cried in alarm, Croc's mother had her hands over her eyes in fear as the toddler almost fell.
Croc snapped into action and dashed towards the ship, leaping over the short distance from the sand to the deck and then quickly reached up to grab his younger brother before anything befell the little fellow.
Everyone on shore watched in both amazement and relief as Croc walked back up and put his little brother on the ground, who immediately started to chase after the Cavegobbo again.
...Later that day...
Croc let out a sigh of relief and sat back down again. He'd just told his family everything that he could remember, Baron Dante's attack on the Gobbo Village, how he rescued the Gobbos and defeated Dante in his castle and then of the day he found the bottled letter from his parents that initiated his second great adventure. He'd explained all the hardships, dotted in the trails and the enemies and even acted certain things out for emphasis. He was positively exhausted.
"Oh Croc... You're such a brave boy!" His mother said, her eyes gone all teary.
His father nodded approvingly, "Well, seems you have quite a bit of courage in there, don't you?"
Croc smiled, feeling whole for once in his life. He'd been happy beforehand, but it always felt a little incomplete and thus he'd not ever been content. Now he felt right, though he had a gut feeling that Dante was merely beaten, not defeated.
The Gobbo's yawned, all except for the Cavegobbo who was already asleep.
"It's getting late... let's all get some sleep so we can be rested up for tomorrow." Croc's mother said, she smiled when she spotted Duke curled up next to his brother on the grass and got up to go with her husband.
Croc yawned despite himself and looked over at the Gobbos who had all passed out once they'd gotten the ok from his mother, he chuckled a bit before laying back and resting his head on his backpack and gazing up at the stars, allowing himself to relax for the first time in weeks.
...Meanwhile...
The Dantinis dashed about in a panicked flurry as they carried out all kinds of tasks. In the center of the room, laying upon a cushion was a white egg with blue specks, an egg that looked quite a lot like the egg's that contained Croc's future siblings...
A large, dark shadow loomed over the egg as the Dantinis shrank back, trying to hide themselves in case they were attacked for doing something wrong, and there they stayed.
...Croco Cove, Jungle Mainland...
Croc's eyes fluttered open lazily, he opened his mouth and let out a long yawn before looking down to see that he was indeed still with the family he had only just been reunited with. Duke lay curled up with his head tucked into Croc's side.
He smiled and stayed put, not wanting to wake the younger crocodile. The waves gently beat at the shores nearby and he could hear the soft snoring of the Cossack Gobbo King not too far away. Everything was peaceful and Croc couldn't believe how well things had worked out for the good guys.
Then it all went sour as he heard his mother scream in horror.
Quickly picking up Duke, Croc leaped up and ran over to where he saw his parents walk off to the night before, his thoughts already geared towards a Dantini revenge attack. What he found was a lot worse.
His parents were kneeling next to a basket where two eggs sat, the white shells had a slight blue shine to them and it took Croc a few seconds to realize what was wrong, that there had been a third egg, now there was only an empty spot on the soft fabric, a dimple that showed there had indeed been a larger egg there. Croc was astounded that the egg was gone and no one had noticed anything and he was also sick to his gut, this could mean only one thing... the Dantini's had stolen it.
How they found the crocodiles was not Croc's current priority, he had to find the captors and retreive his future brother or sister before anything horrible befell them.
"Oh Croc... who would do such a thing?" His mother wailed, tears rolling down the sides of her snout and pattering on the eggs below. She was in a protective stance, hovering over the remaining eggs.
"Croc think Dantini did it, Croc go find them and get brother or sister back!" Croc said with a gleam in his light blue eyes.
He handed Duke over to his father and quickly looked around for any sign of the Dantini who'd done it. Instead he found a partial footprint that made his blood run terribly cold. It was larger than a Dantini, infact it was larger than any creature Croc knew of other than Baron Dante.
"Grrrrrr, Dante a big meanie! He do bad thing too many time now!" Croc spat in digust, he ran back to the other beach and gathered the kings, telling them to take him to Dante's tower so he could get the egg back.
The gobbos all nodded in agreement and the Inca King was assigned the task of sailing the ship, Croc jumped aboard without saying goodbye to his family and they set off towards the darkened horizon, where the great stone tower was shrouded in swirling storms and feirce waters.
