You know those original games that have so much effort put into them and are so great yet they are overlooked and forgotten about? Kind of like Croc I guess. The most underrated game I've ever played is Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy. It is simply the best game I've ever played, yet it is relatively unknown. It did get lots of great reviews at the time, but it just seems forgotten now, left behind. I lost the disk for years and found it recently. Ever since, I've been addicted. It just saddens me that hidden gems like this don't get much attention, as so much effort and imagination was put into the making of this game. I love it so much that I've just made a fan-site dedicated to it. Makes most other games look like garbage. Has anyone ever played this game, nah? Know about any more great but monstrously underrated games?

Isn't this kinda like the "Five lesser-known games you really like" thread? Not that there are too many threads or anything...

Why is a parkway called a parkway if you actually don't run around in grass and swing on swings?

Since I don't have five lesser-known games, I'll just post here. Fatty Bear's Birthday Surprise. Call me a baby, but that game is kinda fun, and the music is nice. It's by the same people who made the games like PuttPutt, Pajama Sam and Freddy Fish, but Fatty Bear was never really ever continued. For some reason, I like those old games. They just seem to have spirit, or something. Eh, or maybe I'm just weird.

Let's see if you guys ever heard of this:
Jurassic Park: Trespasser
Given low ratings thanks to comparisons to modern day games, Trespasser back in 1998 was like Crysis is today, Trespasser had all the advanced software, ragdoll physics per-pixel effects like the advanced bump-mapping, real water ripples, dinosaurs that moved and thought, dinosaurs that interacted with each other and the player, huge outdoor environments with hundreds of trees, thousands of shrubs and rocks, all in plain sight of the player, had an immersive atmosphere and wonderful soundtrack and is the only game to this day where you can literally click your mouse button and watch an arm move out, then control this arm in any way imaginable to pick up items of interest, stash them, toss them, shoot with them, attack with them, etc. No game to this day can truely compare to Trespasser, and if it weren't for stupid reviewers who are tunnel-visioned and pretty much brought the end to Dreamworks Interactive after Trespasser's downfall at their hands, there may be more games like it.

I think that Claw game from Monolith Productions was sort off forgotten too, it was also a great platforming game...

Although the majority of games based on movies are awful, these two aren't: Toy Story 2 and The Emperor's New Groove. The latter is made by Argonaut, and it really seems like a "Croc 3" to me.

OH YES. Toy Story 2 was one of my favorite games as a small child, but unfortunately I've lost the disk. Not my fault, I think my sister let her friend borrow it and never cared to ask for it back which upset me at that time. This track particularly gives me insane nostalgia... One of my all-time favorites, but I really wish to play it again to relive those memories. The game really made you feel like a little toy in a huge world. By far the greatest movie-game adaption ever. To say it does the film justice would be an understatement. I played The Emperor's New Groove once or twice in an indoor play area that used to be near my house. They had a PS1 there, and I remember playing Chicken Run there also. Not for long enough to remind anything about it, though. This summer I've bought Bugs Bunny: Lost in Time and its sequel Bugs Bunny & Taz: Time Busters again from Ebay. Along with Crash Bandicoot and Toy Story, those were my favorite childhood games. They're still awesome today. Time Busters, in my opinion, has got to be the best 2-player co-op game I've ever played in my life. I have great memories playing this with my relatives, and even now it's still crazy fun playing with a friend. Lost in Time is a classic platformer in its own right. I feel these games deserve more appreciation than they have got...
