In the Croc 1 manual, it said something along the lines of Dante dispising the Gobbos simply because they were too cute and happy. So no, I doubt he was ever a good guy. XP And the guys behind the games never liked that manual story (it was written by one of the guys who, at the time, wrote for The Simpsons, for what it's worth), 'cos it didn't tie in with what they had planned for their characters. ;D

Indeed, but they can't change it now that it's set in stone. Besides, that story rocked. I'd much rather have another one of those as opposed to Croc 2's manual. Much to bland, no reason to read it more than once. =/ And the guys behind the games never liked that manual story, 'cos it didn't tie in with what they had planned for their characters. ;DWait, I just caught that. I assumed they just didn't like it. But if that's the case, then yeah, you're probably right. ^^;

But then again, I think that one of the things I like most about Dante is that he's open to interpretation. For example, we don't know exactly why he's got a vendetta against all of Gobbokind, but it does give us something to think about (though we can safely assume that the reason he dislikes Croc is because of Croc's association with the Gobbos). Perhaps he was a nice guy, once upon a time, but a group of Gobbos wronged him or something? We'll most likely never know, but I do think it's a good thing - he's many different things, to many different people. That would make a good idea for a fanfic...*hint hint*

My favorite would be Croc, after that, King Rufus, then the Gobbos and Baron Dante...

I don't know what I was thinking when I posted here three years ago, but I've come to the sudden realization that the Swipe Swiftly twins are the coolest characters in the series, bar none. Just sayin'.

My fav is Dante, because he is one of the few villains that doesn't use mechanical stuff. I think that Argonaut could have made a bigger personality. It's weird reading old posts. Opinions change so quickly... I've come to not liking magic and such (It's a religious deal, I won't go into it here). But, Baron Dante is a villain after all, so go figure. Also, I'm glad they didn't give him a big personality, because I like being able to decide exactly what happens. That's what I like about the old Sonic games, before everything was clear-cut. There were several different Sonic TV and comic series with very contradicting story lines, but alone they seemed to fit what story was there in the games. I think it's more fun like that. ;D By the way, Forte Wily, do you know anything else about that Yoshi/Croc game? I haven't heard about it anywhere but here. PS: How do you pronounce your name? I know it's a strange question, but I've heard your name so many times, and I know I'm not saying it right in my head...

By the way, Forte Wily, do you know anything else about that Yoshi/Croc game? I haven't heard about it anywhere but here. I don't know anything else, sorry. I was lucky enough to have had contact with some folks from Argonaut, once upon a time long ago, and it was simply something that was mentioned by them in passing, along with a note that at one point, Croc apparently looked more like a bipedal "realistic" crocodile, as opposed to a cartoonish one. I really can't imagine that. I mean, I can try, but it always seems to look creepy. Heh, not too odd a question - far better than people assuming they should spell it differently if they don't get it (at least one person once called me "Farte"... ). "For-tay Why-lee".

Croc of course! He's docile, he has a sense of justice, he's cute, I love it.

Why is a parkway called a parkway if you actually don't run around in grass and swing on swings?

Since I can never just name one, here's my list: 1. Croc ;D 2. King Rufus 3. Baron Dante 4. Cactus Jack 5. Those weird scythe-wielding hooded creatures (Grim Reapers, if you must. ) Man, I know I have lots more, but that's all I can think of right now.

I like Chumly and Fosley as well as it's mega hard for them to hurt you except Chumly but you can easily out-run him
