the thing that is missing in the tunes is 'geometicy in hearing' and the croc 1 music gave me shivers, which i liked, as it was like 3D in some type of way. but some of croc 2 tunes lost the effect... like the ending with something like the croc statue...

Why is a parkway called a parkway if you actually don't run around in grass and swing on swings?

1 - The Gobbos new visuals. Where are the tails? Why the heads got trapezoid instead of round? I way prefer the Croc 1 Gobbos than the Croc 2 ones, they got uglier in my opinion. Afterall they lost the "original" design on the second game. The Croc 2 Gobbos were rather freakish compared to their prequels. Sorry, they were still cute, but...freakish. Something I noticed about the dantinis, is that there were Spanish Dantinis in the Inca Village (because the Spanish Conquistadors were the Incas enemies in history) and the Dantinis in the Sailor Village were pirates, because pirates and sailors are usually viewed as rivals. Croc 2 didn't have many really new tunes, but just kind of remixes of the Croc 1 tunes... Croc 1 was by far the most original of the two.

Croc 2 seems like a rush effort to me and an attempt to follow the trends at the time instead of stay true to the original forumla of Croc 1.
While I actually still enjoy croc 2, it could have been worlds better had the levels been more platforming oriented. My gut feeling is that Fox interactive sort of took over, leaving much less freedom with the original developers.
The good things about croc 2:
-More varied visuals between levels and overall more variety throughout the game
- exploration of the gobbo villages and interaction with the characters (although this could have been better)
-More of an adventure / puzzle solving aspect similar to the spyro games (dunno if this is good or bad but I guess it depends on if you like those type of games)
The bad:
- Levels dont utilize space as well as the first game and the textures seem to be lacking.
- The adventure / SMB 64 style gameplay isnt as well done as it could have been and sometimes feels more like a chore than it should.
- Some areas are difficult due to poor controls and glitches.
-The music isn't nearly as good as croc 1, which has some of the best music in any game IMO.
-Crystals dont look as good
- I dont really like the datini designs in croc 2, they looked much better in the first game. I appreciated the different themed datinis in 2 but they would have been better if done in the style of the first game.
The strange thing is all of the artwork promoting the game uses the original datini designs/ style.

Nice finding. Part 2 and others are probably not archived. Also, it's great to see more people active
