Cool. I can't get anything to turn out right in 3D. I stick to drawings...

Love him. ;D Any chance of a shot of his backpack (from behind), since that's something the player ends up seeing a lot in the original two games?

Oh, wow. XD Great animation. (And thanks for the backpack shot. ;D) Why can I imagine him in some sort of fan-game, all of a sudden?

Hehe, thanks. I just found Croc and Croc 2 yesterday while cleaning up, so now I can actually get a decent look at the actual Croc model. If I feel inspired enough then I might be able to replicate it a lot more accurately. And hey, a fangame isn't entirely out of the question.

Very good! But can't you do it in Blender program? I heard it's the best 3D modeling program that exists...

Maya and 3ds Max are undoubtedly the best 3d programs available commercially. Blender is down below Lightwave and Bryce.

And so the battle for the best 3D program begins.
Speaking of battles, would a Croc fighting game not make a good fan game? I'm thinking along the lines of Sonic the Fighters. 8)

Blender is still really good, considering that it doesn't cost a penny. The renders are quite choppy, but I guess you went for the original, PS style?

Oh wow, just rediscovered this forum when discussing 3d art with someone.
I wish I still had Maya, I would love to finish making Croc. Sadly, my old computer is dead and all the croc files along with it!

Is the computer itself dead, or was it a hard drive failure? If the hard drive didn't fail, it's possible to get various adapters for connecting whatever type of drive is installed in it to a USB port on another machine in order to retrieve your files.
I've done this before, and it's very easy - even finding the adapter isn't difficult as long as you know what you're after (and many such adapters now cover most of the common internal hard drive types in one unit, anyway).
