I realise that they're not "random" per-se, but presuming that you didn't know the meaning of "machine ~" by which I meant "compiled" I tried to explain the concept in a simple way.
This should be evident from my use of the term "Low-level", as in, can be understood near-natively.

Whoa, stegriff!
How do you get into the files of the game?! Man, I would love to make some custom levels and whatnot. I only wish I understood it... Anyway, you are much better at penetrating it than I am. Any idea how to rip the music/backgrounds/Croc noises?

The results do look kind of like that of opening a binary file in a text-editor... I'd run my own copy of the game against Unmass (I have no interest in cracking stuff, as stated previously, but it's nice to have access to the textures for artwork and the like*), but I can't seem to get it to compile. *I pulled this off with Klonoa - Door To Phantomile, once, using a Windows program called PsxMC. Very handy.
